Vageshwari Properties Pvt Ltd has acquired a bungalow in Malabar Hill, Mumbai, for a substantial Rs 276 crore. This landmark property, known as Laxmi Nivas on Nepeansea Road, was once a secret hideout for freedom fighters during the Quit India movement.
The deal was finalized last month, with 15 sellers involved in the transaction, including Upendra Trikamdas Kapadia. The property spans a land and building area of 2,221 square yards (1,857.02 square meters), and the total built-up area is approximately 19,891.87 square feet.
Mumbai has witnessed several high-value real estate deals since the onset of the Covid pandemic.
